Daniel Ortiz. Jr. , BSN, RN, PHN - Center Manager & Oncology Nurse

Daniel G. Ortiz, Jr. joined Vantage Oncology’s Imperial Valley Cancer Center in El Centro California November 2005 as the Center Manager / Registered Nurse. He received his Associates degree in Nursing from the Imperial Valley College School of Nursing in 2000 and received his Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2008. He is certified as a Public Health Nurse  and utilizes his skills to optimize patient care. He has also worked at Pioneers Memorial Hospital since 1997 to current as House Supervisor, Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department and employee education. He has instructed in areas of Emergency Medical Technician, basic life support through advanced life support since 1997.

With his focus now being in oncology care, he is currently working towards bringing quality radiation therapy services to the residents of the Imperial Valley as well as increasing patient programs such as support groups, nutritional guidance and advanced pain management support and community awareness of cancer.

Daniel is a member of the Leadership Council of the American Cancer Society as well as Advisory Committee Member of the Cancer Resource Center of the Desert and Between Women.
